A unanimous votes sends Stephen home as planned and I'm beginning to feel a lot better about my alliance. Everyone backed me up after his outburst and I believe that we're fully behind it. I don't plan on giving my alliance another reason to doubt me so I don't think this will come into play too much down the road unless distrust is festering internally. But again, that's not the style of game I'm trying to play so people coming to that conclusion would be pretty unfortunate for me.
I was also really happy at first to see that the clue went to Danielle. I hoped that she would share it with the alliance but each hour that went by I realized that I really wasn't gonna be involved in that. I wonder if Danielle shared it with others but just not me or no one at all. I may approach Matty about it since I think if someone got it it'd be Sarah so maybe if Matty didn't we'd be able to relate a bit over that too. If he also didn't hear about it then maybe I could lead him into asking Sarah or even Danielle, which would be great for me if there's any dissension about it that I can stay out of.
For now I'm just playing it cool and continuing to build what relationships I can. Nothing has changed at Vahine really, it's all pretty much the same social dynamic with our alliance being tight and the other 3 being on the outs both strategically and socially.
****Bromance alert****
Pete and I have really bonded a lot more in the past couple days and I think I'm probably one of if not the closest ally he has out here. A lot of people have mentioned him as someone who's "not around" so I feel like our bond is very genuine at least on my end. This relationship is really pivotal for me strategically along with my current relationship with Max.
Should there be a swap I feel pretty confident I can come out alright barring a really shitty ratio of Tane:Vahine. I think my whole tribe would be willing to work with me in the majority OR the minority to get out of the swap alive. If we're in the minority then I think getting put with Pete or Max can help keep me alive whether it be them flipping and voting out a Tane or getting them to vote out one of the 3 Vahine on the outs.
I hope to escalate strategy talks with either Max or Pete (probably Pete first) to see where his head is at over there and offer at least a "let's work together" deal for the future to cover my own ass. Unfortunately if the stars don't align and working with Pete would hurt my position in the game then that partnership might not materialize. In my eyes I'm really just offering a soft deal that he understands may or may not bind us since there seems to be a little bit of tribe animosity right now.
We'll see how the challenge goes, I really want to win this and keep a tribal majority. I honestly think if Vahine merges with a majority then we can take this to the end with how little Abi/Darrah/Jay talk to others. Honestly if someone would be to flip it'd really just be one of my own alliance which is weird to think about. Let's get this fuckin immunity and run the table.
In the meantime, I'll look to be updating you guys on my recon about the clue and with Max/Pete.
